GPMHA, and its subsidiaries PCFAC and GPAC, have the common goal to keep the game of hockey safe and to avoid any disruptions in our season. The season started with a no spectator policy to keep the chances of the spread of Covid -19 to a minimum. We are fortunate to now have spectators in the facilities under social distancing rules and within arena capacity guidelines.
Being responsible for people to follow these rules is proving to be difficult and we do not want to risk being shut down or to have to go back to the no spectator policy.
Effective 12 am October 22, 2020, all players, team staff, volunteers and spectators will be required to wear face coverings (non-medical masks) in all facilities that are hosting a GPMHA or PCFAC or GPAC event. Players, coaches and spectators will be required to wear a mask when entering recreation facilities and in any public gathering areas within the facilities. Face coverings will not be required on the ice surface by the players or any team staff that is in the cohort. Team staff will be required to wear face coverings while on the bench during game play.
We thank all our members in advance for their cooperation in this matter. Our goal is to provide the safest environment possible for everyone and to be able to keep players, team staff and spectators in the arena to enjoy the game we all love.
Yours in hockey
